Two area favorite national acts are running through Upstate NY this Friday and Saturday. The Heavy Pets and Primate Fiasco will share the stage Friday 11/11 at The Iron Works in Buffalo and 11/12 at Funk ‘n Waffles downtown Syracuse. Both are well known jam bands in CNY. The Heavy Pets have roots in Upstate NY and Syracuse University. They are funky, groovy, sometimes have a reggae ska vibe, sometimes straight up rock. Primate Fiasco carry the slogan “instruments from the past, music from the future.” These guys have been on a role creatively lately. They are best known for their annual appearances at Sterling Stage festivals where they usually lead a parade by day and melt face by late night. The Heavy Pets most recently headlined Sterling’s Ameribeat Festival of Arts last July, and even more recently (like 2 weeks ago recently) finished recording their forthcoming full length album. Both bands will keep your face grinning and feet moving, so get out and see them this weekend in Buffalo and Syracuse!
