Sterling Stage’s annual Independence Day celebration begins this Thursday, July 5-8. Come flaunt your independence at the Ameribeat Festival of Arts. Sterling Stage presents to you one of their headiest lineups yet.
Ameribeat will feature area faves Pearly Baker’s Best, Chris James and Mama G, Old Deer Ensemble, and Subsoil, plus a slew of other area greats. They proudly welcome bands like Bear Tread and the Gerry Jarcia String Band. Many fans are looking forward to reggae greats, Roots of Creation. We are extra excited for the Ameribeat debut of Big Sexy and the Scrambled Eggs. They will be sharing their unique style of funkadelic blues with a pair of Saturday afternoon sets to get you primed and ready for headliners, Pink Talking Fish.
If you are unfamiliar with Pink Talking Fish, let me describe them quickly. PTF are a hugely successful national touring band that blends the songs of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish into a unique listening experience. Let me be clear. You will not be hearing a Phish song, and then a Floyd song, with a Talking Heads song thrown in here and there. They manage to stitch these songs together, seemlessly, into a jamband monstrosity where it can often be hard to differentiate in your mind how you got from one song to the next. Pink Talking Fish truly offer a unique live experience you will not forget and will talk about for a long time to come. You dont want to miss Ameribeat!
Gates open 9am Thursday. Tickets available at the gate.
